Shawn is most known for his charisma, energy on stage and keen ability to make great remixes. A perfect example of this was when TiL Dawn was performing "PUERTO RICO" w/PRism & Big Hit Buda at the Puerto Rican festival, he threw out multiple "Puerto Rico" soccer jerseys into a crowd of thousands while everyone was waiving their PR flags. Or when Shawn wrote, recorded and performed a parody to Rich Boy's "THROW SOME D's" and made "THROW SOME CHEESE". During his live set, he and his crew literally threw Kraft singles off the stage chanting.."Just bought a hamburger...throw some cheese on it!" The crowd busted up laughing and while some people tossed cheese back at us...other people ate it.
With over 60 performances under his belt from urban clubs, rock clubs, street festivals, house parties, music venues like the House of Blues, Abbey Pub, 115 S. Bourbon St., Austin's Fuel Room, and the WGN Morning News, Shawn is ready to take on any venue and advance his career to the next level. The experience of co-writing and performing to songs that have received substantial radio play like "THA ILLINI" & "WE DA BEARS" with Buda, has TiL Dawn thirsty to release that next BIG HIT. HOW DID HE GET THE NAME "TIL DAWN"?
The name "TiL Dawn" originally started as a joke with friends because of Shawn's inability to stay up past 12 when partying with friends. Then Shawn began to live up to his name by being one of the last ones to leave everywhere he went, thus literally becoming Shawn "TiL Dawn". The name represents his never ending passion for life and to live each day to its fullest potential even if it takes "til dawn".
